brokest is a community-edited wiki of low-priced dining information. These Terms govern the rights and obligations applicable to use of the service. Submitting fabricated information, exposing personal information of others, and engaging in malicious conduct are prohibited. All edits are public and attributed to the contributor's handle.
Pricing information displayed on the service consists of crowdsourced data submitted by users. We do not guarantee that any particular spot is open or that any dish is offered at the listed price. Users are advised to verify prior to visiting.
Operator. brokest is operated by an independent maintainer and is not affiliated with any corporation or investor. Inquiries may be submitted via Send feedback in the menu.
Eligibility. Use of the service is limited to individuals aged 13 years or older (16 years or older in the EU) who have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. One account per person is permitted. Users are responsible for all activity occurring under their handle. Accounts that abuse the wiki — including but not limited to submission of fabricated spots, exposure of personal information, spam, coordinated attacks, or unlawful conduct — may be suspended or terminated.
User Content. Copyright in user-contributed content remains with the contributor. By submitting content, the user grants brokest a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to display, adapt, and distribute such content as part of the wiki and any future service formats (API, embeds, social previews, promotional materials). Due to the nature of a wiki, edit histories are preserved as part of the collective record; closure of an account does not remove edits already merged (to preserve wiki integrity), though the handle attribution will be anonymized upon request via Send feedback in the menu.
Moderation and Takedown. Content that violates these Terms, is unlawful, or is the subject of a legitimate complaint (including DMCA-style notices) will be removed. Primary moderation is carried out through community voting and reversion; final determinations rest with the operator. Users who believe their content has been wrongly removed may submit an appeal via Send feedback in the menu.
No Warranty. All information on the service, including prices, hours, menus, and whether a spot remains in operation, is crowdsourced and is provided without warranty of any kind, whether as to accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Users assume sole responsibility for any reliance placed on the service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, brokest shall not be liable for any damages arising from reliance on information provided through the service.
Monetization. Reading from and contributing to the service is offered free of charge. Monetization methods — including advertising, sponsored placements, affiliate links, premium features, subscriptions, paid API access, partner integrations, and aggregated insights — may be introduced or modified at the operator's discretion, subject to prior notice. Continued use of the service following such changes constitutes acceptance. Core wiki content shall remain readable free of charge.
Modifications and Termination. These Terms may be modified; material changes will be communicated within the service prior to taking effect. Users may discontinue use of the service at any time by closing their account from the settings page. The operator may terminate accounts for abuse, with prior notice where reasonable.
Governing Law and Disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, except where the user's local laws confer non-waivable rights (such as EU consumer protection laws and the California CCPA), in which case such local rights shall prevail.
